I was finally able to check a new relatively new game that
has been a smash hit, selling over 4 million copies since its release in April.
That game is Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds. The game is available on PC and is
selling for $29.99. It is important to note this game is early access, meaning
that it is not entirely complete and changes and fixes will be continuously implemented
as the game nears completion. So, with
that said, let’s get into the premise of the game. Based upon the 2000 Japanese
film Battle Royale, the player is dropped onto an island with other players with
the sole purpose of eliminating the other players to be the last one surviving.
This entails scavenging for weapons and supplies to better one’s chances of
survival. Mechanically speaking, the game can be a little difficult to get into
for those who are not seasoned PC gamers, but after a few rounds, that subsides
and continues to diminish as time goes on. Whether you’re looking for a casual
open world antics, or a competitive strategic battle, this game provides
enjoyment in several ways. Being that Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is a newer
and early access game, it tends to run worse on older hardware. So, consult the
store page to see if your system specs are enough to run the game. I have
really enjoyed my time with this game, there were times where my heart was
racing as I was one a the last few survivors. It was a unique experience I have
not had in a video game in a while. If you have the system and money to check
this game out, I highly recommend it. I had a great time and I hope you do too.
